“ Three Things I Cannot Forget about Singapore ”

                                 Miss Sirinapha Bamrungkhet

What comes to your mind when you think of Singapore?
Some might think of its spitting-water Merlion, the Marina Bay Sands
with a ship on top, or the indoor fountain at Changi Airport. I can see
why; they are known for being Singapore’s unique landmarks. A
shopaholic might go for Orchard Road where you can find a lot of

shopping malls along the street. For me, who had a great opportunity
to leave my footprints in Singapore, there are three things about
Singapore I will always keep in my memory: its well-organised

transportation, multi-ethnic society, and impeccable cleanliness

The public transport system is one of my favourite things in
this tiny but mighty island. I had a chance to experience its MRT and
buses. At first I thought it would be complicated and difficult to use

the trains but it was not at all. The signs are well-posted and easy to
understand. The trains are also clean and air-conditioned. How about
the buses? Well, I have to applaud its newness and reliability. What

impressed me is that the bus stops provide people with the bus route
information. Moreover, people can easily pay for the fares by using a
card which can be used with the MRT too. It was a shame that I did
not use the bus service a lot in this trip. I will definitely use it as much
as I can when I visit there next time.
