Safety Tips
Chapter 1: Introduction
CAUTION:
If you do not clear the alarm network after removing or exchanging
devices, the missing device will display as a lost communication error.
CAUTION:
Assign a Gas Type to all of the connected inputs. If there is an input
signal wired to the Master Alarm that has not been assigned, the
display shows: Input # - Message Not Assigned.
CAUTION:
The default command sets the Area Alarm Module back to the factory
defaults. If you do not want the factory default values, choose no .
Otherwise, the alarm may not operate as intended.
CAUTION:
Maintain the polarity of the source equipment leads between the Master
Alarms, otherwise they may not operate as intended.
CAUTION:
If you are replacing an Area Alarm Module in an Area Alarm that uses
the Network Communications Board and the Ethernet, use the Clear
Network function before you start the procedure. Otherwise, the
MedPlus TotalAlert™ Alarm Network will indicate that an error has
occurred.
CAUTION:
If you are replacing an Area Alarm Module in a 30-Point Master Alarm
with three Area Alarm Modules, use the Clear Network function before
you start the procedure. Otherwise, the MedPlus TotalAlert™ Alarm
Network will indicate that an error has occurred.
CAUTION:
When two or more MedPlus TotalAlert™ Alarm Network systems are on
the same Ethernet network but not separated by a router, the alarm will
not operate as intended.
