Safety Tips
Chapter 1: Introduction
WARNING:
No maintenance or testing should ever be undertaken or attempted by
anyone not having general experience in the repair of devices of this
nature. Also, to avoid damaging the unit or any of its components, no
maintenance or testing should be undertaken by qualified individuals
who are not completely familiar with the procedures in this manual.
Personal injury or equipment damage could occur.
WARNING:
Notify the facility’s personnel before downloading new software.
Downloading stops the alarm’s operating mode until the process is
complete. This may endanger patient welfare.
WARNING:
Do not remove the threaded insert from the transducer. Doing so may
result in attaching the transducer to the incorrect gas or vacuum type,
endangering patient welfare.
WARNING:
If one Master Alarm is configured to monitor different inputs from the
Master Alarm that you are currently configuring, ensure that the
differences are accounted for in each configuration. Failure to configure
the Master Alarms correctly could endanger patient welfare.
WARNING:
Change the factory-programmed password after the first time you log
in. Otherwise, inappropriate personnel may change the setpoints and
endanger patient welfare.
WARNING:
Before making or breaking any gas or vacuum line connections, ensure
that the system is not pressurized to avoid possible injury.
