4.5 Master Alarm or Area Alarm Transformer

Tools required: 5/32" hex wrench
Phillips head screwdriver
Needle nose pliers

Removal

SHOCK HAZARD:
Turn off the power to the alarm, and leave it off during the installation or
replacement of any component or sub-assembly. Failure to do so could
result in personal injury or equipment damage.

1. Turn off the power to the alarm at the facility’s supply.

2. Using a 5/32" hex wrench, unlock the front panel.

NOTE:
For clarity, the front panel is not shown in the illustration for this procedure.

3. Using a phillips head screwdriver, remove the five screws (A) that secure
the cover plates (B) and (C) to the rough-in assembly (D) (see figure 4-6 on
page 4-17).
