A Message from the President. . .

Sorors, what an exciting journey we have had these past four years! I could not have done it
without each of you! The Dears were my mentors and seasoned sorors with a great deal of ex-
perience. I called on many of you for advice and insight. The Divas have been the movers and
shakers and my way makers. I called on you to make things happen. The Dolls were my young
sisters with fresh new ideas and the future of Broward County Alumnae Chapter. I encourage
all of us, to continue working for Delta. With all of us working together, we accomplished many
fantastic things and there is so much more we can do. I have the utmost trust and respect for
you! It's because of your commitment and our inclusive approach that we did amazing things in
2017-2021.

This journey started with a word of prayer. I asked the Lord to help me make the right decision
about running for president. Like any true child of God, I continued to ask my Father for guid-
ance. I asked for a theme that the Chapter could get behind; I asked for your support; I asked
for increase in all that we touched; I asked for favor; I asked for protection, love, courage, kind-
ness, and His presence. Today and always I thank Him and recognize my Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ for doing all these things and more. My good friend and our soror Cathy Edwards' testi-
mony nudged me forward. Her love for dance and those close to her resonated with me. So love and dance would become my
platform. BCAC “Let's D.A.N.C.E.” was born. Everything that we accomplished came from a place of love and inclusiveness. Eve-
ryone is happy while dancing. Dancing does not exclude anyone. We all can participate. We dance before the Lord, and we dance
with abandonment when nobody is watching. I thank you because we all got caught up in the BCAC dance!! We danced, had fun,
built relationships, made money, highlighted our programs, provided service, won awards, solicited grants and sponsorships,
increased scholarship dollars, reclaimed sorors, and initiated new ones! We did all these things with “Joy in our Sisterhood, Pow-
er in our Voice and Service in our Heart”. We included the community and
continued our strong standard of innovation, class, and quality.

My parting words as your president is that we embrace the new administra-
tion with our love and support! Pay your dues, get involved and bring oth-
ers home to Delta.

Thank you for entrusting BCAC to me, and I hope I did you proud! It was my
joy to represent you every day! The task was overwhelming, but my love
for Delta pushed me to give you my all. Sorors, we have DANCED; now it’s
time to LEVEL-UP!
