                                         Grass – Pennisetum Setaceum

                                         Rubrum
A beautiful, drought tolerant ornamental grass, forming a
dense clump with stunning rosy plumes.

Plant Size: Grows 2-4’ tall and 2-3’ wide

                                         Evergreen/Deciduous: Herbaceous perennial

                                         Light Needs: Full sun

Watering: Water deeply and regularly during the first
growing season to establish an extensive root system; tolerates moderate
drought when established. On irrigation system, can take an inch of water a
               week. Waterwise plant.

Blooms: Rose-red plumes summer through fall. Purple foliage, red flowers.

Key feature: Colorful airy plumes, waterwise, easy care, this cultivar does not go
               to seed, grows narrow

Pruning: Cut foliage back to 4 -5” above ground just before new
shoots appear in late winter to early spring. Ornamental grass will
add texture and movement to the winter garden, so wait until early
                                spring to cut back.

Care: Fountain grass can benefit from a light spring and fall
                                balanced fertilizer.
