 Double Crochet
  Charlie Mumford shows you how to create five fabulous
 The arrival of spring doesn’t have to mean ditching the yarn. Even if you’re new to crochet, you can still craft these clever woolly accessories, no matter the weather! “These great projects are meant to be simple but effective,” explains Charlie. “If you miss a stitch here and there, you can always add it in without it being noticeable – don’t stress, just have fun!”
Double crochet
Insert hook into stitch or chain and wrap the yarn around the hook.
Pull yarn through stitch, so you have two loops on your hook.

Crochet hook, 5mm   Hair slide Glue gun
Hair grip with pad, 10mm   Korbond DK acrylic yarn, white   Deramores DK yarn, Citrine   Crochet hook, 4mm
Knitting needle   Scissors Glue gun
 Using the yellow yarn, create a magic circle and 8dc into it. Pull the circle closed.
Dc in each stitch around (8 stitches). Slip stitch to close the round. Fasten off and weave in ends.
 Slip stitch the white yarn to the first stitch of the yellow and *chain stitch 12, slip stitch the end of the chain into the next yellow stitch*. Repeat * to * seven times.

50. Slip stitch the last chain to your first stitch to form a circle. Be careful not to twist the circle when joining.
 Chain 1 stitch, 1dc, place stitch marker then dc in each stitch around.

a further eight times. Fasten off making sure to leave a very long tail.
 You will notice a small point where you startedeachround.Foldthecircleinhalf with the point in the middle and at the bottom. Pull this point (with the tail) up and round
so it starts to pull into a bow shape.
 Keep wrapping the tail round and tie off with the starting tail. If you left
a long enough tail, you should have a thick enough centre knot for your bow. If not, wrap some more yarn around the centre to get the desired effect. Glue onto a hair clip.
  Yoh and pull through both loops.
