n a season where the local construction indus-
try is facing unique challenges in balancing sup-
ply and demand, shortage and excess, Taylored
IElements Construction in Ashland has found
themselves positioned to be part of both commu-
nity growth and regrowth here in the Rogue Valley.
Kyle Taylor first founded Taylored Elements
Construction as a company in 2004. Having grown
up in the Rogue Valley, Taylor began in construction
as a student, taking on part-time construction jobs
while in school. After a chance comment from one
of his professors made Taylor reevaluate his future,
he decided working in construction was a great fit
for him.
Taylored Elements Construction began with a
focus in finish carpentry, but as Taylor recalls, “That
quickly moved to remodels, then ‘hey-can-you-
build-me-a-house.’” It was a transition fostered
by the economic downturns of 2008 as new con-
struction slowed but rehabs of foreclosed homes
were available to provide work while the market
