recovered. It was a time of growth—he tackled bigger and
bigger projects, and his crew began to grow into what is now
seventeen employees experienced in the many skills of home
              construction and renovation.

Today, Taylor describes his business as building “semi-custom”
homes. “We work to find sustainable homes with standard building
methods that we can just do better. We’re not reinventing the wheel
every time,” he explains, because he knows how overwhelming the
build process can be for clients. “We take the position that we have
experience that you don’t. Let us help you with what we know.” Their
expertise is considerable, with multiple certifications in sustainable
build practices and energy efficient design options helping them to
        lead in an ever-changing industry.

Last year saw several substantial shifts for the construction industry,
and Taylor and his team found themselves adapting again. “It’s been
really challenging,” admits Taylor of 2020, along with the drastic
changes it brought. Designated an essential service, increased health
and safety requirements became a daily part of every construction
site, and both the supply chain and availability of manpower frequently
        impacted project schedules.

When the Almeda fires swept through the valley, the horizon changed
again, further impacting the already burdened construction industry.
