rian Gruber, who was recently appointed as Head
BWinemaker at Irvine & Roberts Vineyards, formerly
made wines for them 2014 – 2016. He was instrumental in
helping create the style of wine they craft and allowed them
to hit the ground running when they completed construc-
tion of the tasting room and winery at the estate vineyards
in 2017.

Brian is well known and respected throughout the Oregon
wine industry. Most recently he has been the head win-
emaker at Quady North Winery and Barrel 42 Custom
Winecraft. Since co-founding Barrel 42 eight years ago,
Brian helped grow production from 2,000 cases to over
42,000 cases, producing wines for the Quady North label
as well as over 20 custom crush clients. Under Brian’s direc-
tion, Quady North and Barrel 42 have made nearly 100
