GRANTS PASS MUSEUM OF ART
FUNDRAISING EVENT
he Grants Pass Museum of Art is replacing its Black, White,
T& the Blues with another fundraising event in 2022. One
part is Faux Fun, with artists creating paintings derived from old
masters and making a spoof of a famous painting. There will be
about 25 of those works. The other element is called 6 x 6. We
have asked artists to donate a painting or drawing or whatever
that is 6” x 6”.
Both fundraisers will be in an auction format. The Faux Fun
bidding will start at $100. The 6 x 6 will start at $20 and a buy-
now feature of $79. ($79 because the museum was founded in
1979). There will be many of these pieces of art. The museum
did a national call for art on CaFE, an online site for proposals
of art, and they’ve received art from all around the United
States—even three from Singapore!
The two auctions will be on the Greater Giving platform for
bidding, along with an online catalog allowing bidders to see
larger images. All of this will be linked via the museum web-
