blooms, tiny flowers, brilliant or subtle hues, all are from the Upper Our 55+ community is owned,

where you might see them in the wild.

                                   MAY 10, DUTCH BROS
Dutch Bros is a familiar name in
Southern Oregon (and other areas as
well). They do more than sell great coffee (and more) drinks, however.
Last year they raised over a million dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy
Association (MDA). Their reasons go beyond a personal/business
ethic to a story close to home. In 1992, brothers Dane and Travis
Boersma co-founded Dutch Brothers (now Dutch Bros). Life changed
dramatically with Dane’s Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known A 55+ Community
as Lou Gehrig’s disease). The family started the fundraiser in 2007 to
raise awareness and help support other individuals and families affected
by this incurable disease. The Boersmas lost Dane in 2009, but continue
the annual drive. As of last year they have raised $4.8 million.

More than 300 locations across seven states will celebrate the 13th Drink
One For Dane day to once more raise money for MDA, the world’s 857 Mountain Meadows Dr.
leader in the fight against muscle-debilitating diseases, including ALS. Ashland, Oregon 97520
They are grateful for the annual outpouring of love and support from (800) 337-1301
customers, and would like to surpass the $1,351,780 raised last year. www.mtmeadows.com
Monies raised fund research to find treatments and cures. So head to
your nearest Dutch Bros location and support a worthy cause, one that
helps others and honors one of the founding Dutch brothers.
