EVENTS cont...
DANCING AND DINING
IN THE STREETS OF DOWNTOWN MEDFORD
The non-profit organizations
ACCESS and the Downtown
Medford Association are partnering
to bring Dancing and Dining in the
Streets to downtown Medford for
the second year, free community
events to run in conjunction with
Medford’s 3rd Friday Art Walks
in May, June, July and September,
from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Downtown streets and alleys will come alive with the sound of music.
Nearby tables allow you to eat and enjoy the entertainment. Choose
from the menu, call the restaurant and pay—and VOILA! It's delivered
to your table. “And then we dance!” says Lindsay Berryman, Downtown
Medford Association representative.
The events will take place at different locations each time. The entertain-
ment is free and food prices are determined by participating restaurants.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned food to help
fill ACCESS’ food barrels. “What an exciting, unique opportunity to
help build community and enjoy Downtown Medford, music and deli-
cious food, and help ACCESS provide for our most vulnerable neighbors
in Jackson County,” says ACCESS Executive Officer Pamela Norr.
Dancing and Dining in the Streets will also partner with the Medford
Cruise on Friday night, June 15 in Downtown Medford. There will be
three concerts that night, one at 5:30, one at 7:30 and the headliner at
9:00, all at the intersection of Main Street and Riverside.
ACCESS provides food, housing, warmth and other essential services
to Jackson County's low-income children, families, seniors and people
with disabilities. The Downtown Medford Association is comprised of
downtown business owners, property managers and Medford citizens
with the sole purpose of revitalizing Downtown Medford.
