              They’ve also  seen an increase in landscape transformations
              using hardscapes – large scale natural pavers and retaining
              block to create areas for outdoor living. “Transforming back-
              yards from the ordinary is the new standard,” says Artner, “and
              for the installation portion to be able to pair with our material
            placement division allows yards to be transformed with tighter
        deadlines and an overall cleaner jobsite.”

        The majority of the products Ground Control offers are locally sourced,
        materials that not only support local industry and environmental stew-
        ardship but also reflect the natural beauty of the Rogue Valley region.
        Their bark mill, for example, takes scraps from local lumber mills and
        grinds it for custom sizing and bark applications, making sure fewer
        natural materials go to waste. Their stone and rock applications range
        from smooth river rock and functional aggregate to rugged boulders
        and oversized pavers for landscape statements.

        Along with their numerous ground cover options, Ground Control
        also carries six topsoil blends to improve growing conditions in your
        landscapes. From organic compost to soils designed for specific grow-
        ing conditions or soil amendment, their topsoil blends meet  both
        national standards for organic blends along with their own strict qual-
        ity control. “There are ‘recipes’ for each mix,” Artner says. “We watch
        over that pretty closely.”
