KRISSY MILLNER moved to Southern
Oregon with her husband Mark from San
Francisco IN 1993 to start their business,
Terra Firma. She began doing interiors in
San Francisco and has been using her talents
for homes, boutique hotels as well as com-
mercial projects. Krissy has embraced the
beauty of the Northwest and melds city style
sophistication with casual, organic, comfort-

DONALD ALARIE is a native of Southern
Oregon who has been an outdoorsman
since he was old enough to hold a fishing
pole on frequent trips along the Rogue River
in his dad’s three-man boat. He developed
a keen eye for capturing nature’s wonders
through his passion for climbing. Donald’s
background as a mill worker and firefighter,
and more recently the joys of fatherhood, have also formed his pho-
tography in ways that emphasize both action and personality. He
graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2007 and works out
of his home in Grants Pass.
JORDAN BOYD is a freelance commercial
photographer based out of Ashland, Oregon.
He has contributed to the Britt Music and
Arts Festival, Southern Oregon University, Mt.
Ashland Ski Area and many more businesses
in the Rogue Valley.
SANDY CATHCART is a freelance writer,
photographer and artist who paints under
the name of SCAT. She has published several
hundred articles and photos in national and
regional magazines. Sandy and her husband,
Cat, work as cook and guide for 4E Guide
and Supply, a wilderness outfitter. She writes
about Creator and everything wild.
VALERIE COULMAN is a writer and art-
ist based in the beautiful Rogue Valley in
Southern Oregon. She writes for a variety of
adult and children’s publications, including
three award-winning picture books that have
been translated into seven different languages
for young readers around the globe. Along
with her artwork, Valerie also teaches writing
and art skills through schools and conferences both in Canada and
the U.S., and is an avid amateur photographer. To find out more

NISHA JACKSON is a nationally recognized
hormone expert and gynecology health
specialist. Her private practice specializes
in women’s health and the treatment for
hormone imbalances for men and women.
Jackson is nationally recognized as a lecturer,
motivational speaker, radio host, columnist,
and author. Jackson owns a medical practice
in Medford and Roseburg, Oregon, and a supplement/health com-
pany called Balance Docs.
LYNN LEISSLER is a freelance writer living in
Southern Oregon, where she enjoys the cul-
tural and scenic variety of the area. She writes
for various publications, and enjoys quilting,
reading, gardening and traveling. She is cur-
rently working on her first novel, while her cat,
Kris Kringle, looks on from his windowsill perch.
CHRIS DENNETT moved to the Rogue Valley
at the age of nine in 1983, when his family
opened the McCully House in Jacksonville
as a bed and breakfast. He has been in the
food industry since 1993, including working
in hospitality in both Scotland and Australia,
in 1994 and 1997-98 respectively. Dennett
opened Elements in 2006, followed by
Beerworks Medford in 2011 and Beerworks Jacksonville in 2016.
He is a co-founder and organizer for Medford Beer Week and the
Southern Oregon Craft Brew Festival.
