AWARD WINNING SANDWICH A STELLAR 90
Chef Melissa McMillian of Pastrami Zombie (Sammich Ashland’s sister Kriselle Cellars recently earned a 90-point rating from
property/food truck in Portland) competed against 20 restaurants at Wine Enthusiast for their 2016 Sauvignon Blanc. Tasting
Feast Portland’s annual Sandwich Invitational. She entered a sandwich notes: “This effusive, expressive wine offers deep citrus,

WHO WON THE BATTLE?
Six Rogue Valley bands individually took the stage at the Battle of the
Bands in August at the Josephine County Fair. Judging was based on
staying within their window of time, vocal and instrumental perfor-
mance, music interpretation/originality, professionalism, stage pres-
ence, and fan reaction.
Results:
1st Place: Hardaway Bend of Central Point
2nd Place: Through the Sky of Cave Junction
3rd Place: Last Adam of Grants Pass
