DISTRICT GOVERNOR NOMINEE INTRODUCTION

District Governor Nominee Dr Krishna Kumar

DGN Dr Krishna Kumar graduated in 1979 with an M.B.B.S degree from
University of Mysore. He retired in 2008 after serving almost 29 years with
Ministry of Health, the last 15 years as Hospital Director at Hospital Kudat, Kuala
Kangsar and Teluk Intan.
Dr. Krishna joined Rotary in 2003 as Charter President of Rotary Club of Kuala
Kangsar and is currently a member of Rotary Club of Melawati.
He has held numerous positions at club and District level including as Assistant
Governor, District General Secretary, Group Study Exchange Team Leader,
member of District Secretariat (5 terms), District Governor’s Special
Representative (2 new clubs) and member of Rules and Procedures Committee
(2 terms), Ballot Committee (2 terms) and Credentials Committee. Dr.Krishna is
passionate about youth programs and has been a member of the District
International Youth Exchange Committee (5 terms, including 3 terms as Chair),
Alumni Chair (2 terms) and RYLA Chair.
He is married to an active Rotarian, PAG Pushpa Krishna and they are blessed
with 2 children and a grandson.
