VICE GOVERNOR DR PAUL CK LEE
Paul is married to Lilian they have a son Jason, an IT Lawyer and a daughter Jaclyn, a Pharmacist and they
have 5 grandchildren. Paul joined Rotary Club of Pudu Rotary in 1976 and served as President in
1984/85 and District Governor in 1998/99.
In Rotary, he was organising chairman of the 2001 KL Rotary Institute, adviser/organising commiittee of
the 2007 & 2012 KL & Selangor Rotary Institute & vice chair/adviser of the 2019 Yogya Rotary Institute.
Paul also served on many RI Committees and Task Forces ranging from Diplomatic Relations Task Force to
Extension of Non-Rotary countries.
Paul was RI President’s Rep at the District 3140 Conference in Mumbai, India, District 3480 Conference in
Taipei, Taiwan, ROC and D9570 Rockhampton, Brisbane. He was also Convener and Chairman of RI Director
Nominating Committee 2007-08 for Zone 6. He served as Training Team Leader at 4 DTTS at Manila,
Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei Rotary Institutes, 3 GNTS at Bangkok, Taipei and Yogyakarta Rotary
Institutes and 3 GETS at Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and again at Bangkok Rotary Institutes. Paul was
International Training Leader at the RI International Assembly at San Diego in 2010.
Paul was President of the Malaysian Dental Association for 3 terms, President of the Malaysian
Dental Private Practitioners’ Association, elected to Malaysian Dental Council for 6 years, Editors
of the Asian Pacific Dental Federation and a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International,
International College of Dentist, Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Continuing
Dental Education. Paul also served as a Councillor of the Petaling Jaya Municipal Council from 1988 to
1990.
Paul received the RI’s highest recognition of “Service Above Self”, “The Rotary Foundation
Meritorious Service Award” and the highest recognition of “The Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service
Award”. He was elected to “Honorary Membership” of the Malaysian Dental Association in 1994, the
“Outstanding Dental Practitioner” by the Malaysian Private Dental Practitioners’ Society in 1999 and the
“List of Honours” of the Asian Pacific Regional Organisation in 2005.
