KNOW OUR RY2020-21 DISTRICT GOVERNOR
His hands-on knowledge in all aspects of Rotary is well acknowledged in his club. He has gained
vast practical experience in Matching Grants and now the Global Grants by personally getting
involved and spearheading these Global Grant funded projects. He has served in various positions
in the Club as Community Service Committee Chair, Membership Committee Chair, Club Secretary
and was the Chairman of the Club’s Past Presidents Council in RY2014-15 & RY2017-18. He was
instrumental in RC Bukit Bintang’s latest daughter club, the Rotary Club of Ara Damansara, in year
2016. He contributed significantly to the development and promotion of international peace and
understanding between RC Bukit Bintang and RC Dagupan (Philippines), he was elected as RC
Dagupan’s Honorary Member in 2015. He has attended RI Conventions in Bangkok, Seoul, Sydney
and Hamburg. KS was appointed as the Honolulu 2020 Country and District Rotary International
Convention Promotion Chair.

At the District level, he held many positions including amongst others Club Service Committee
Member (RY2012-13), Chairman of District Dengue Task Force (RY2013-14), Chairman of District
Economic & Community Development Task Force (RY2014-15), Assistant Governor (RY2015-16),
Chairman of Membership Development Committee (RY2016-17), Chairman of Club Extension
Committee (RY2017-18), DRF Committee member (RY2018-19) and all other roles that come with
the position as DG for RY2020-21 such as Board Member of Rotary International District 3300
(Malaysia) Berhad, Trustee of Yayasan Kelab Kelab Rotary Malaysia. He was the Aide to RI
President’s Personal Representative PRID Fred Lin and spouse Jane at the 84th RID3300
conference held in Butterworth, Penang.

His Vision as a District Governor is to see “Growth and Vibrancy, Peace and Unity in District 3300.
Increase in the reach, quality and impact of our services to the community in need locally and
abroad”. KS is counting on the support of every Rotarian to walk the Rotary journey with him and to
