Frequently Asked Parking Questions – for staff parking

1. Where can I park with my lease?
 Between 9 AM to 2:30 PM you are to park ONLY in the lot where you have a lease. If your lot is full, you must check in
with the parking attendants in the main drive BEFORE parking in the patient visitor garage.
 If you do not have your badge for the day, you must park at the 2 Avenue lot. If you choose to park in the Patient/Visitor

Garage, you must pay the $20.00 daily rate and will be issued a violation warning.
 During evenings and/or all day on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, you are permitted to park in the Patient/Visitor Garage.
Evenings are classified as shifts that begin at 3:00 PM or later. You MUST exit the garage before 9 AM on weekdays. If
circumstances require you to exit after 9AM, you will have to report to the parking office to have your badge reset.
 Parking in an area other than where you have a lease, or in the Patient/Visitor Garage during an inappropriate time period
is considered “theft of services”. Any staff member found to be using, or to have participated in or facilitated the
fraudulent use of a parking option will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

2. How do I cancel or suspend my parking lease?
You must obtain a Cancellation/Suspension Form from the Parking Office-Room 2113. The form must be filled out in its entirety
and turned in with your hangtag. If you fail to turn in a cancellation form or return an incomplete form, your parking cannot be
cancelled, and you will continue to be charged monthly. If you do not return your hangtag, there will be a $15.00 fee charged
against your pay.

3. If I am handicapped, where do I park?
 There are marked handicapped spots at the McDevitt Garage, 3380 Lot; 2 Avenue lot, and behind the hospital along the

fence that borders the Boulevard of the Allies. You must have a current lease, and a state issued Handicap Placard or
license plate in order to park in these spots. You will be charged the normal rate for each lot.
 If you become temporarily handicapped, every effort will be made to allow you to park as close to the hospital as possible,
however, we can’t guarantee a specific space. In order for you to qualify for a temporary handicap space, you must have
a current lease, and submit to the parking office a written doctor’s excuse, with a definite date that your disability will
end. You will be permitted to park in one of the handicapped parking areas for that time period only. This time period
will not exceed 3 months. You will also be required to submit a form to Work Partners.
