RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE
AND STORMWATER & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING AWARDING A

                  CONTRACT FOR THE 2018 STREET PAVING PROGRAM

         WHEREAS, the Village of Sturtevant received bids for the 2018 Street Paving
Program in the Village that was previously authorized by Resolution 2018-16; and

WHEREAS, Stark Pavement is found to be the lowest responsible responsive bidder.

         WHEREAS, at this time the Village would like to proceed with said improvements;
and

         NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

         1. That the awarding of a contract to Stark Pavement Corporation of
                      Brookfield, Wisconsin, in the amount of $964,735.35, for paving, curb and
                      gutter work, sidewalks, sump pump lines, water main relay and laterals of
                      Hulda Drive from 90th Street west to 97th Street, 92nd Street from Durand
                      Avenue south to Chandler Avenue, and 92nd Street from Washington
                      Avenue south to Rayne Road, is hereby authorized and approved.

         2. That the following projects for paving, curb and gutter work, sidewalks,
                      sump pump lines, water main relay and laterals of Hulda Drive from 90th
                      Street west to 97th Street, 92nd Street from Durand Avenue south to
                      Chandler Avenue, and 92nd Street from Washington Avenue south to
                      Rayne Road to be completed in 2018 using 2018 Bond proceeds. That the
                      funds for said contract and said project shall be taken from Fund 404.

         3. Project costs associated with Sewer and Storm Water will be charged to
                      the respective utilities.

         4. The Racine Water Utility will be charged back for project costs in the
                      amount of $450,423 for the water main relay work.

         5. That the total costs for the project shall not exceed $1,125,000 which
                      includes engineering, legal and administration and contingencies. That the
                      Village Administrator is authorized to execute change orders provided that
                      the total cost of the project does not exceed $1,125,000.

         Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County, Wisconsin,
this 17th day of April, 2018.
