RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
COMMITTEE AND STORM WATER & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A BRUSH CHIPPER FROM VERMEER-

WISCONSIN, INC.

WHEREAS, the village recycling center accepts bulk items and brush as a
service to village residents; and

WHEREAS, the village can no longer burn brush and lumber at the
recycling center; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to purchase a brush chipper to reduce the
size and amount of the lumber and brush accumulation at the recycling center;
and

WHEREAS, Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. has provided a quote of $30,162.64
for the purchase of brush chipper, Model BC 1000XL Gas; and

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That the purchase of a new brush chipper, Model BC 1000XL
Gas, from Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. Butler, Wisconsin at a cost
of $32,000 is authorized and approved.

2. That this equipment shall be purchased with fund balance from
Fund 401.

3. That the Village President and the Village Clerk are authorized
to execute any sales contracts or other documents necessary to
carry out the intent of this resolution.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin, this 6th day of March, 2018.
