RESOLUTION BY THE PARKS, EVENT PLANNING, AND VILLAGE
BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING CONTRACTS FOR THE

JULY 3, 2018 FIREWORKS

WHEREAS, the Village Board designated money in 2018 for fireworks;
and

WHEREAS, there is a need to authorize the expenditure of funds in order
to carry out the plans for July 3, 2018; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract for the 2018 fireworks
display; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract for portable toilet
facilities for the event.

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That a contract for fireworks, with Melrose Pyrotechnics, Inc. at
a cost not to exceed $15,000, is authorized and approved; and

2. That a contract for portable toilet facilities, with Port-a-John at a
cost not to exceed $1,000, is authorized and approved; and

3. That the Village President and the Village Clerk are authorized
to sign any contracts, agreements or other documents
necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution; and

4. That all expenditures shall come out of Fund 214 which is the
Fireworks Fund.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin, this 20th day of March, 2018.
