Parkside Football Club 1897/2017

                                            TREASURERS REPORT 1997 SEASON

The Parkside Football Club had a relatively successful year on field whilst a previously healthy overall
               financial position has been eroded.

The loss for the year was $8,932 which reduces the overall funds available to the Parkside Football
Club from $11,466 to $2,534 at the end of the financial period. A large proportion of this balance is
represented by monies outstanding to the club.

Of particular concern to the club is the bad debts written off amounting to $3,075. This should
necessitate a revision of internal controls for the forthcoming year.

It is essential that the Parkside Football Club increases its revenue base, maintains and/or reduces
expenditure and in particular costs associated with placing teams on the field if it is to maintain
               viability in the long term.

To ensure that this occurs, there needs to be increased support by members and players in fund
               raising efforts.

Accordingly, we need to make significant changes during the forthcoming season to increase our
revenue base and minimise operational expenditure.
