The match between Parkside and St Albans, in the second round, was two halves: the first
dominated by the Magpies to establish a seven-goal lead by half time.
Evidently revved up by coach Trevor Davies at the main break the Saints came out in the third
quarter to kick eight goals and give the club a sniff of victory.
However, the last quarter saw the Magpies again get in control. Their victory could have been a big
percentage builder.
Jason Crosswell played well and was best on the ground receiving excellent support from Sami Sir,
Srecko Salopek, Stephen Nielson (six goals) and Harold Kelly. Best players for the Saints were Rodney
Mitchell, Jason Walsh, Andrew Fennessy and Gavin Brennan.
