In round 8, Parkside turned it on against Hoppers Crossing to win by 118 points.
From the first bounce the Magpies took control, establishing a handy lead by half-time.
The second half saw the Warriors' young players improve.
In an even Magpies combination, players who stood out were Ahmed Taleb, Paul McSweeney.
Michael Cammerino, Souli Ktenidis and Harold Kelly.

The Mail claimed that, “The two clubs (Parkside and Port Colts) head and shoulders above the rest of
the competition, should turn on a ripper at the Colts' home ground on Sunday, June 28.
When it is considered that Spotswood are third on the ladder with five wins and three losses, there
is little competition facing the Magpies and the Colts.”
