Canvassing for Properties:

Start canvassing for new listings in property websites like:

• Gumtree,

• Private Property,

• OLX,

• JunkMail

• List yourself as a prospective Purchaser looking for property to purchase on Gumtree/Private Property etc. to receive alerts

• List on “My Roof”

Refine your search:

• Look for private listings (by owner)

• Search by area ( e.g. Rivonia, Sandton – put in suburb and town)

• Keep up your searchers – Change wording every now and again.

Ground Rules for contacting landlords:

• Be honest with clients

• Negotiate and give fair advice of market speed and demand

• Be quick in everything you do

• Never delay, never postpone

• Always answer phone or email in 10 minutes

• Always give the Seller feedback on every visit, build trust
