Collapse stage (7-8): For a long time it was believed that the
period from Dynasty 7-10 was part of the First Transition Era, but
recently researchers have tended to include Dynasties 7-8 among
the dynasties of the Old Kingdom, as they ruled from the same
the capital which was Memphis from 1st to 8th dynasty .
