Sixth Dynasty: (Teti, Pepi I, Meri-en-Ra, Pepi II, Meri-en-Ra II,
Nitocris)
4- Pepi II: After the death of his brother Meri-Ra, he ruled Egypt.
He was 6 years old and ruled for 94 years. His mother was his
guardian, and his uncle was in charge of managing affairs in the
country. During his reign, he sent many campaigns to the south
under the leadership of the rulers of Elephantine.
The influence of Regional rulers increased during his reign, but
the king did not have the appropriate power to push them, and
therefore chaos prevailed at the end of his rule, and a social
revolution took place at the end of his reign. He was succeeded
by Meryin Ra II, who ruled for only a year, then Nitocris, who
ruled for two years.
