4- Senusret III: His rule began with his campaign to discipline
the Nubians, and throughout his rule he remained concerned with
the south, and Egypt’s borders reached Wadi Halfa during his
reign. He limited the influence of the regional rulers, re-
centralized the government, and established a canal in the south
to facilitate the movement of the Egyptian fleets. He sent a
campaign towards Palestine to secure the eastern borders. His
pyramid group was in Dahshur. Art, sculpture, and architecture
flourished during his reign, and he paid attention to the Fayoum
region.
