Some aspects of civilization in the Middle Kingdom
1- Foreign Policy:
Egypt’s relationship with Western Asia:
There were friendly relations between Egypt and Western Asia,
and this is evident from the story of Sinuhe, and the discovery in
the south of Luxor of gold and silver artifacts that came from Asia
Minor and the Aegean Sea. There was friendly relationship with
the islands of the Mediterranean, especially the island of Crete.
Libya: The kings were always sending punitive expeditions to
repel the Libyans and secure the western borders.
South: The kings at that time succeeded in controlling the area
between the first and second cataracts and built many forts there.
Also, the borders of Egypt during the 12th Dynasty reached up to
the third cataract.
Architecture and arts:
The architecture at that time was characterized by its small size
compared to the Old Kingdom, but the architecture of the Middle
