Jeremiah 5:12                                  550                                  Jeremiah 6:13

            against me, saith the Lord.  12  They haue denied of the wicked: they execute no iudgement, no
            the Lord, and saide, It is not he, neither shall not the iudgement of the fatherlesse: yet they
            the plague come vpon vs, neither shall we see    prosper, though they execute no iudgement for
            sworde nor famine.   13  And the Prophetes shall  the poore.  29  Shall I not visite for these things,
            be as winde, and the worde is not in them: thus  sayth the Lord? or shall not my soule be auenged
            shall it come vnto them.  14 Wherefore thus saith  on such a nation as this?  30 An horrible and filthie
            the Lord God of hostes, Because ye speake such   thing is committed in the land.  31  The Prophets
            wordes, beholde, I will put my wordes into thy   prophesie lies, and ye Priests receiue giftes in
            mouth, like a fire, and this people shall be as  their handes, and my people delite therein. What
            wood, and it shall deuoure them.   15  Loe, I will  will ye then doe in the ende thereof?
            bring a nation vpon you from farre, O house of
            Israel, saith the Lord, which is a mightie nation,
            and an ancient nation, a nation whose language                          6
            thou knowest not, neither vnderstandest what        1  O ye children of Beniamin, prepare to flee
            they say.  16 Whose quiuer is as an open sepulchre: out of the middes of Ierusalem, and blowe the

            thine haruest and thy bread: they shall deuoure haccerem: for a plague appeareth out of the

            thy sheepe and thy bullocks: they shall eate thy the daughter of Zion to a beautifull and daintie
            vines and thy figge trees: they shall destroy with woman.  3  The pastors with their flockes shall
            the sworde thy fenced cities, wherein thou didest come vnto her: they shall pitche their tentes
            trust.  18 Neuerthelesse at those dayes, sayth the rounde about by her, and euery one shall feede
            Lord, I will not make a full ende of you.  19 And in his place.  4  Prepare warre against her: arise,
            when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our and let vs goe vp toward the South: wo vnto vs:
            God doe these things vnto vs? then shalt thou for the day declineth, and the shadowes of the
            answere them, Like as ye haue forsaken me and euening are stretched out. Arise, and let vs goe

            dah, saying,  21 Heare nowe this, O foolish people,  must be visited: all oppression is in the middes

            and without vnderstanding, which haue eyes and   of it. As the fountaine casteth out her waters, so
            see not, which haue eares and heare not.  22 Feare  she casteth out her malice: crueltie and spoyle is
            yenotme, saiththeLord? orwillyenotbeafraide      continually heard in her before me with sorowe
            at my presence, which haue placed the sand for   and strokes.  8  Be thou instructed, O Ierusalem,
            the bounds of the sea by the perpetuall decree   lest my soule depart from thee, lest I make thee

            that it cannot passe it, and though the waues    desolate as a land, that none inhabiteth.  Thus
                                                             sayeth the Lord of hostes, They shall gather as
            thereof rage, yet can they not preuaile, though  a vine, the residue of Israel: turne backe thine
            they roare, yet can they not passe ouer it?  23 But  hande as the grape gatherer into the baskets.
            this people hath an vnfaithfull and rebellious   10 Vnto whome shall I speake, and admonish that
            heart: they are departed and gone.   24  For they  they may heare? beholde, their eares are vncir-
            say not in their heart, Let vs nowe feare the Lord  cumcised, and they cannot hearken: beholde, the
            our God, that giueth raine both early and late in  worde of the Lord is vnto them as a reproche:
            due season: hee reserueth vnto vs the appointed  they haue no delite in it.  11 Therefore I am full of
            weekes of the haruest.  25 Yet your iniquities haue  the wrath of the Lord: I am weary with holding
            turned away these things, and your sinnes haue   it: I will powre it out vpon the children in the
            hindred good things from you.  26 For among my   streete, and likewise vpon the assembly of the
            people are founde wicked persons, that lay waite  yong men: for the husband shall euen be taken
            as hee that setteth snares: they haue made a pit,  with the wife, and the aged with him that is full
            to catch men.  27  As a cage is full of birdes, so  of daies.  12  And their houses with their landes,
            are their houses full of deceite: thereby they are and wiues also shalbe turned vnto strangers: for I
            become great and waxen riche.  28 They are waxen will stretch out mine hande vpon the inhabitants
            fat and shining: they doe ouerpasse the deedes of the land, sayeth the Lord.     13  For from the
