neither haue I desired the day of miserie, thou words. Then I went downe to the potters house,
knowest: that which came out of my lips, was and behold, he wrought a worke on the wheeles.

but let not me be afraide: bring vpon them the came vnto me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot

Goe and stande in the gate of the children of are you in mine hande, O house of Israel. 7 I

Iudah, and all the inhabitants of Ierusale, that I will repent of the plague that I thought to
enter in by these gates. 21 Thus sayth the Lord, bring vpon them. 9 And I wil speake suddenly
Take heede to your soules, and beare no burden concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdome
in the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates to builde it and to plant it. 10 But if it do euill in my

of your houses in the Sabbath day: neither doe goodthat I thoughtto do for them. 11 Speakethou
yee any worke, but sanctifie the Sabbath, as I nowe therefore vnto the men of Iudah, and to
commanded your fathers. 23 But they obeied the inhabitants of Ierusalem, saying, Thus saith
not, neither inclined their eares, but made their ye Lord, Behold, I prepare a plague for you, and
neckes stiffe and would not heare, nor receiue
correction. 24 Neuerthelesse if ye will heare me, purpose a thing against you: returne you there-
sayth the Lord, and beare no burden through fore euery one from his euill way, and make your

sanctifie ye Sabbath day, so that ye do no worke desperately, Surely wee will walke after our owne
therein, 25 Then shall the Kings and the princes imaginations, and doe euery man after the stub-
enter in at the gates of this citie, and shall sit burnnesse of his wicked heart. 13 Therefore thus
saith the Lord, Aske now among the heathen,

charets, and vpon horses, both they and their Israel hath done very filthily. 14 Will a man
princes, the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants forsake the snowe of Lebanon, which commeth
of Ierusalem: and this citie shall remaine for from the rocke of the fielde? or shall the colde

prayse into the house of the Lord. 27 But if ye their land desolate and a perpetual derision,
will not heare me to sanctifie the Sabbath day, so that euery one that passeth thereby, shalbe
and not to beare a burden nor to go through the astonished and wagge his head, 17 I will scatter
