Jeremiah 39:13                                 580                                  Jeremiah 41:1

            he shall say vnto thee.  13  So Nebuzar-adan the with him among the people that were left in

            saying, Thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of the sonne of Tanehumeth, and the sonnes of
            Israel, Beholde, I wil bring my wordes vpon this  Ephai, the Netophathite, and Iezaniah the sonne

            citie for euill, and not for good, and they shalbe  of Maachathi, they and their men. And Gedaliah
            accomplished in that day before thee.   17  But I  the sonne of Ahikam, the sonne of Shaphan sware
            wil deliuer thee in that day, saith the Lord, and  vnto them, and to their men, saying, Feare not to
            thou shalt not be giuen into the hand of the men  serue the Caldeans: dwell in the lande, and serue
            whome thou fearest.   18 For I will surely deliuer  the King of Babel, and it shall be well with you.

            were on thine handes, if it please thee to come  the sonne of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah
            with me into Babel, come, and I will looke well  secretly, saying, Let me goe, I pray thee, and I
            vnto thee: but if it please thee not to come with  will slay Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and no
            mee into Babel, tarie still: beholde, all the lande
            is before thee: whither it seemeth good, and     man shall know it. Wherefore should he kill thee,
                                                             that all the Iewes, which are gathered vnto thee,
            conuenient for thee to goe, thither goe. For yet  shoulde be scattered, and the remnant in Iudah

            he was not returned: therefore he said, Returne  perish?  16 But Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam said
            to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, the sonne of
            Shaphan, whom the King of Babel hath made        vnto Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, Thou shalt
                                                             not doe this thing: for thou speakest falsely of
            gouernour ouer all the cities of Iudah, and dwell  Ishmael.
