                   Haywood County Meals on Wheels and volunteers help raise $11,000 for the
                   program during the 2018 Horse Show Charity Fundraiser  Event – July 20-21.











             Haywood County Meals on Wheels Volunteer Appreciation Event in August brings  a

             crowd.   60+ volunteers were appreciated during the annual event so HHSA staff could

             thank them with a meal, a new program t-shirt, and many donated gifts from  local

             businesses.   An annual training was also included within the program.   We thank the

             following for providing a raffle gift during the event.   Panacea Coffee, Nettie’s Bakery,

             Bogarts, Pink Regalia, John’s Barber Shop, The Strand, Nu-Way Cleaners, Blue Ridge Books,

                Sliver Treasures, J. Gabriel Home & Gifts, Robin Blu, Twigs & Leaves, The Kitchen Store.  Meals

             on Wheels Staff include:  Kirk Long, Ellen Frizzell, Matthew Little, Chelsea Reece, and Steffie

             Duginske.  M.O.W volunteers deliver food all over the county 5 days a week throughout the

             year to mostly senior individuals who struggle to prepare their own meals due to health

             conditions and aging.  If you would like to become a Meals on Wheels volunteer, contact
