3. PAT must be INSPECTED by a person with a university or professional
background that enables it to do so; prior to: its commissioning, periodically,
and finally, after any modification, period of non-use, exposure to the
weather, seismic shocks or any other circumstance that could have affected
its resistance or stability.
4. It is forbidden to use if it is not in good condition, or if it has been modified
or if it is incomplete.
5. Workers with specific training regarding PAT may perform periodic,
mandatory visual inspections, at least, before each assembly or use.
6. This manual is COMPLEMENTARY of the corresponding Occupational Risk
Assessment, Safety Plan, Work Procedure or similar document that apply in
each case.
7. You should consult and follow the complete applicable ELEVATOR
INSTALLATION MANUAL.
8. The maximum authorized weight is 150 kg (2 people, or 1 person
plus material).
9. The manipulation of the PAT inside and outside the shaft DEPTH OVER
1800 mm is recommended to be carried out between two operators. For
lower recess depths such work can be performed by a single operator
following the instructions detailed in the manual.
10. Valid for both hands of layout.
11. The trays of the PAT once supported on the wall of the bottom of the
shaft, in all cases have to form an angle> 0º with respect to the horizontal.
NOTE: If in the first phase of the assembly there is no lifeline, we will be
tied to a safe place that can hold us in the event of a fall (eg, work
column).
12. It is forbidden to have people inside the shaft while the PAT is
mounted due to the risk of material detachment
13. PAT must have an identification plate that includes the following
information:
