By CHARLES KABENA
To ease Water woes in Njema community
in Mulanje, World Vision recently handed
over Mishoni Gravity Fed Water System
to the people of the area. Speaking at the
event, Director of Water Supply Services
in the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation
and Water Development John Kumwenda
thanked World Vision for the great
investment.
Kumwenda said that the water system,
re-designed after flood damages in 2015,
was a great show of the organisation’s
commitment to deliver meaningful
interventions that will go a long way to
benefit Malawians.
“I am convinced that this water intake
will live to benefit this community and
its neighbours for years to come and as
government, we are proud of the partner
we have in World Vision,” said Kumwenda
as he took media questions at the end of
the event at Thundu Primary School in
Mulanje.
