Phil has worked for the AB Sugar Group since 1995 when he joined the Agricultural Department working through a number of agricultural operations and management roles.
Phil then moved into the UK Commercial Department to head up the strategic focus on the high margin speciality sugars.
In late 2009, Phil moved to China with his family and held the role of Continuous Improvement Director covering both the

beet and cane business. In this role he was responsible for prioritising and executing initiatives across agriculture, operations and HSE.
Phil then transitioned into Human Resources at AB Sugar head offices, firstly as Head of Organisation Development, then Head of Talent. In 2018 after a reorganisation Phil took accountability for the full team as Head of Human Resources.

Phil has an Executive MBA (2003) and a 1st class Degree in Biology (1995) from Nottingham University.
He is blessed with a wonderful wife (Lizzy) and two amazing children Rebekah (19) and Andrew (15) plus Buddy the Labradoodle.
When Phil isn’t working or with his family you will find him either swimming, in the garden or standing on the side of a hockey pitch!
