        Progress on Goals…
        As a teacher, I have to be more intentional about ensuring that my students are able to elaborate/justify their thinking. This year has been a bit of
        a struggle, because my students are having a difficult time justifying their thinking. They know the content and can explain it verbally, but they
        have now begun to explain their thinking. Like previous years, I introduced my students to the CUBES method in an effort to show them how to
        dig deeper into a word problem before solving it. They are doing well with the strategy; however, some students are still looking for "key words"
        instead of "math action words". We will continue to work on this, but at least some gain in students writing out their thinking is being made.
