TWO PALE GREEN AND RUSSET JADE
CARVINGS
18th/19th century
Each crisply carved highlighting the tonal
differences in the stones, the first as a pale
green carp leaping out of tumultuous brown
and cream waves, the detail crisply and finely
carved, the stone polished to a soft patina,
4.2cm (1 5/8in) wide; the second modelled as
a playful pale green boy wearing an unusual
high headdress and petting a mottled grey
cat. 5.3cm (2 1/8in) high.

A YELLOW AND RUSSET JADE SNUFF
BOTTLE
18th/19th century
Well hollowed and standing on a protruding,
oval foot ring, the mouth flat, the bottle with
traces of orange skin cleverly incorporated in
the design of two rams beside craggy rocky
outcrops surrounded by billowing clouds,
stopper; together with a banded agate
silhouette bottle, coral stopper.
The jade bottle: 6.4cm (2 1/2in) high (4).
