                     The figure of the future Buddha, Maitreya, delicately carved with long
                     brocade robes open at the large belly, seated at ease with one hand
                     atop the right knee, the face with a joyful expression, flanked with
                     elongated earlobes, crowned with a bald pate, the features picked out
                     with pigment, wood stand.
