AN AGATE TWO-HANDLED CUP

The cup with an everted rim and raised on a short footrim, flanked AN AGATE PENDANT PLAQUE
with two lingzhi-form loop handles, the stone of a variegated Qing Dynasty
caramel hue. The face carved in low relief with a scholar sage by a riverside in an
11cm (4 1/4in) wide idyllic mountainous landscape, skilfully carved to use the amber hued
inclusions in the stone.
