C.J.Co [AKA: CHINA JEWELRY COMPANY]
            Shanghai
            circa 1880-1940

One of the more unusual marks which has been mis-understood by some auction houses and described as
            being “JEWY Co.”

Further research is now ongoing due to the uncanny
resemblance of this SC mark [left] and the China Jewelry Co
mark above. Although inconsistency of Chinese Export Silver
marks was almost the norm, CJ Co is one of the more “varied”.
While most SC marks show a distinct relationship with the
Sincere Company by displaying the Xianshi mark, this SC mark
                                                      does not.

A CJ Co. mark that is unusually
            displaying an 800 purity mark
but also appears to have an
            unidentified import mark [far left]
