Sai  Hing  Kai  street  was  near  the
                                                                             original “Old Factories” district and
                                                                             was where many of the lacquerware,
                                                                             ivory  and  silver  guild  merchants
                                                                             were  situated,  Wang  Hing  among
                                                                             them.  There  were  around  75  so-
                                                                             called  guilds  in  old  Canton,  each
                                                                             having  an  entire  street  or  even
                                                                             district  devoted  to  one  particular
                                                                             trade.









            Hoaching  is  one  of  the  Canton  retail  silversmiths  who  specialised  in  trophy  pieces  of  silver,  many  of  them
            bordering on the theatrical.   Hoaching’s signature style was a fusion of the high Victorian style and the high
            Chinese style as this extraordinary tazza testifies.
