Page 694 - Chinese SIlver By Adrien Von Ferscht
P. 694

A large salver circa 1900-1910,
            weighing almost 1.5kg, with an
            exquisitely created basket weave
ground to the main central round
and a double meander border that
is so well worked that it presents a
            three dimensional illusion. The
whole is set off by the reticulated
            bamboo foliate border and faux
            bamboo raised edge.

Such works can only have a highly creative mind behind them and a person demanding the highest
            workmanship from his artisan silversmiths.
