Tientsin [Tianjin]
circa 1885-1935
No known connection with Lao Tian Bao, Shanghai and not to be confused with the esteemed cloisonné maker
Lao Tian Li in Beijing, but is connected to Tian Bao, Beijing and Lao Tian Bao, Tientsin is one and the same
Tian Bao [Lao
Tian Bao], among
other things, was
a master of the
beaker. This early
20th century
example displays
a boldness of the
repoussé dragon
and the flaming
pearl.
