An extraordinary example of
combined silver and enamel work
that probably dates to circa 1875.
This is an early example of Tian Bao
using the Imperial enamel technique
on a silver item. The almost free-
standing parcel gilded and enamelled
dragon makes this an incredibly
dramatic piece.
This style and level of workmanship
are highly sought after by Chinese
collectors.
