Page 723 - Chinese SIlver By Adrien Von Ferscht
P. 723
A circa 1910 opium box bearing the Tian Bao
mark. Despite not appearing so, this is solid
silver - it is merely badly tarnished. A portable
opium box was as necessary to some Chinese
as snuff boxes were to 19th century Western
gentlemen.
