A circa 1880 large amphora-shaped vase carrying the Wang Hing silver mark. Decorated with repoussé prunus
decorative motif against a superbly rendered traditional Chinese “cracked ice” effect ground. Exquisite prunus
blossom handles set off the vase. Wang Hing later used this vase as a model to create a new presentation
trophy for horse racing in Hong Kong, circa 1889.
