Page 861 - Chinese SIlver By Adrien Von Ferscht
P. 861
A really high quality circa 1925-30 tea
set in an interesting take on the neo-
classical urn form that has a modern
influence as well as the finely planished
finish that became popular in Chinese
silver in the Art Deco period.
Art Deco again touches this set - the
manner in which the handle has sharp
angles and where it meets the lip of the
cream jug [left] it has a definite Deco
feel which we should remember would
have been considered the height of
modernity at the time.
